Despite the site's severe isolation from established public drainage, roading, and services infrastructure, our team adeptly navigated unique hurdles such as susceptibility to flooding from upstream sites and a nearby major watercourse.
As integral members of the wider project team, we devised sophisticated earthworks strategies involving preloading and skillfully traversed a network of freshwater streams, ensuring their protection while facilitating development. Our expertise extended to intricate flood modelling, requiring the diversion of an existing stream and land reclamation in flood fringe areas.
Sertus effectively addressed stormwater challenges, developing engineering solutions to secure a private discharge consent, and implementing a public-standard private road network for industrial-class traffic, complete with a road bridge crossing existing streams. The project also includes a new pump station with a long-distance rising main connection, continuous interface with an arterial road under construction, as well as the consideration of critical existing oil and gas pipelines traversing the site during construction.

100 Price Road, Manukau Central
Sertus has shown their resolve and commitment to a challenging project involving the redevelopment of a brownfield site for an industrial warehouse subdivision.
The project presented challenges with very poor ground conditions and a notable flood inundation risk from two different sources, the roadside, and the adjacent creek. The site is also bisected by the construction of a major arterial road and was further complicated by a dense congestion with existing utility services, including an existing local electrical transformer and a major oil and gas pipeline located onsite.
We provided a full suite civil design service including retaining walls with close coordination with all design parties and utility service providers. Sertus's adept team navigated the complications of the site seamlessly, underlining our expertise in managing intricate projects with precision.
